Let’s learn some Hawaiian words!

Aloha [ah-LOH-hah] tells someone we care. We use “aloha” to greet people, to say goodby, and to tell them we love them.

Aloha akakahiaka [ah-LOH-hah kah-kah-hee-AH-kah] – Good morning! We say this from the time it becomes light until the day starts warming up.

Aloha awakea [ah-LOH-hah ah-vah-KAY-ah] – Good morning! We say this later in the morning, while the sun is still rising in the sky.
