(Click for more Information)

Hilo is the largest town in the
district of Hilo, and on the island of Hawai`i. It is also the
county seat of the island county.
The Mamalahoa Highway stretches across the
district of Hilo from O`okala at the boundary with Hamakua, almost to
Kea`au, near the boundary with Puna.
In ancient times, Hilo's boundaries were the
Wailuku River and the Panaewa forest.
