July, 2003 Sunday, July 13 - Wahine Run - Leilehua plays music for Island-wide ladies run to Keokea in a "Celebration of Women Riders." Start points in Kona and Hilo. In Kona gather at the Old Airport at 9:00 am. In Hilo, gather at Mo`oheau Park at 9:00 am. 9:30 departure time. Phone 326-2451 for more information. Also includes "phone-raiser" for the Bay Clinic. Bring dead cellphones and give them to Leilehua, who will take them to the clinic which will turn them in for money. Saturday, July 19 - Leilehua tells Hawaiian stories and legends of Poliahu and the other beings which inhabit the heights of Mauna Kea. 6:00 pm at the Onizuka Center for International Astronomy at the 9,000 foot elevation of Mauna Kea. Saturday, July 26 - Leilehua and the Lehua Serenaders perform in front of the Kilauea Theater for the Volcano Art Center Wilderness Run. August, 2003 Sunday, August 10 - Saturday, August 16 - Leilehua teaches traditional Hawaiian crafts at Keola Beamer's Aloha Music Camp. Saturday, Sept 27 - Hilo Bay Clinic Ladies' Night Out at the Hilo Shopping Center. An evening of entertainment and pampering for the ladies. Phone the Bay Clinic at 969-1427 for more information. Leilehua will be perfoming her own songs as well as covers. Friday, December 5 - Jesse Colin Young, Vito Truglio, and the Magic Strings at the Holualoa Festival of Lights.
