Standing Gigs:

Thursdays, 4:00 - 6:00 - Join me for "Friday Eve" pau hana at Kope Kope Espresso Cafe in the old Hilo Shopping Center. Let's get caffinated!                Right - At the Kope Kope

First Thursday, each month, weather permitting - Hawaiian Constellations Storytelling and singing at the Onizuka Visitor Center on Mauna Kea (9,000 ft. level). Program starts with a chant at sunset. Then I'll sing some songs I've written about my experiences here, and tell stories about the Hawaiian constellations.
                           

Hawai`iana in Honomu - Leilehua, Aunty Nona Beamer, and friends teach Hawaiian cultural arts at the Honomu Gym on Saturdays in this cooperative project with the Honomu Village Association.

Thursday, February 24 - Butterfly House Blessing at Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden, Leilehua Officiates.

Saturday, February 26 - Hawaiian Horticultural Festival at Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden. Many activities and speakers. Leilehua teaches her Hula Pulelehua (Butterfly Hula) and other children's hula. 323-3318.

Sunday, February 27 - Hula Ki`i Workshop in Hilo.

March, 2005

March 19/20, Sat/Sun - Keoki Kahumoku teaches how to build and cook with the Imu - Hawaiian Earth Oven.

March 26 - Kuhio Day - Join the fun! Halau and all  invited to join us at Honomu to celebrate Prince "Cupid" Jonah Kuhio. 935-9836 to sigh up to participate.

March 27 - April 2 - Merrie Monarch Festival

April, 2005

Month of April - Art Show by Leilehua at Wailoa Center

April 8 - 5-7 pm - Opening reception for art show on the beauty of the Lei, by Leilehua Yuen at Wailoa Center. Hula and Hawaiian music.

April 30 - Lei Day program tops off  Lei art show at Wailoa Center

May 1 - Lei Day!!!!
