Mele Kalikimaka   and welcome to our homepage!       Hula Riders seeks to promote Hula and Hawaiian Culture and Arts, and the enjoyment of motorcycling. Our activities include riding to sites traditionally important in hula to offer our chant and dance, picnics, family days, and motorcycle maintenance days.
We welcome the begining rider - most us us are either just starting out or else getting back in after years of not riding! Our maintenance days are set up to teach the mechanically challenged how to do some of the basic work necessary to get good performance and long life out of a motorcycle.
Our motto, E nihi ka hele, mai ho`opa`a, comes from an old chant used as a farewell to voyagers - literally, it means, "travel gently, arrive firmly."

E Ka Moana Nui

E ka moana nui
Kai ho`ohonu
E lana malie, kou mau ale
E kamakani nui ikaika
E pa kolonahe
Malie `oe
E nihi e ka hele mai ho`opa`a

Oh thou great ocean,
Deep sea
Be thou gentle always
With winds strongly blowing
Firm, yet gentle.
Be thou calm.
Travel gently, arrive firmly.

Our M/C chant is based upon E ka Moana Nui.

E Ke Ala Nui

E ke ala nui
Ke ala loa

E konane kou mau loa
E hele nui na`auao
E pa kolonahe
Malie `oe
E nihi e ka hele mai ho`opa`a

Oh thou great road,
Long road,
Be thou bright always
Traveling with wisdom
Firm, yet gentle.
Be thou calm.
Travel gently, arrive firmly.

We are pretty new, so keep checking back as we put up more activities and our calendar!
