Performing Artists

Keola Beamer is one of Hawai`i's premier singer/songwriters, arrangers, composers, and slack key guitarists. His site offers information on workshops and internet lessons, as well as a unique take on the ubiquitous "Learn to Speak Hawaiian" page.

Michaelle Edwards has an amazing ability to evoke the best of the Hawaiian swing era while singing her contemporary lyrics. Songwriter, slack key artist, and possessor of a fabulous voice. 

Ken Emmerson  is at home playing backyard style Hawaiian slack key guitar, or sliding vintage Sol Ho'opi'i style Hawaiian blues, Delta slide, vintage jazz, electric blues, and rockin' slide guitar. 

George Kahumoku, Jr. is one of Hawai`i's best known slack key artists. His site offers information on upcoming tours, new products, and workshops. 

Jesse Colin Young, lead singer of the Youngbloods and of "Get Together" fame is now living in Kona, Hawai`i. He continues his musical explorations and this April debuts his new Hawaiian slack key stylings and his Hawai`i-inspired songs. None of this music is available in recorded format.
