The Secret Life
of
Auntie Lele
AKA
"Hula Rider!"

Yes, it's true! Mild-mannered reporter (artist, educator, and singer) Leilehua Yuen, fondly known to her students as Auntie Lele, is, indeed, that hell-bent-for-leather maniac of the streets, HULA RIDER! Faster than a speeding earwig, able to leap tall speed bumps in a single bound, HULA RIDER prowls the streets of Moku Hawai`i in her never-ending quest to bring Hawai`iana to humankind.
Not so long ago, in a small town in Hawai`i, Leilehua recieved a phone call from her daughter. The information - Leilehua would soon be a tutu. Stunned, she slowly hung up the phone. Then, realization dawned like Hilo's morning sun in her caffine-saturated brain.
To be a grandparent meant - she was (SCREEEEEEEAMMMM) MIDDLE AGED!!!!
      Responding to this immenant mid-life-crisis, Leilehua purchased a . . . .  (NOOOOOOOOOOOOO)  . . . . .  MOTORCYCLE!!!

`Io-i-ka-po, as purchased on August 9, 2001.

Life would never again be the same.

In the depths of each human soul lies a dark demon of danger seeking release. Fed on atomized petrol, this creature of speed leads the unwary to rush headlong into life on two wheels. Seductive, it is that same demon which offers the promise of fun, fun, fun until Daddy takes your T-Bird away. Oooh, yeah.

Lots of photos, so it takes a while to download - take a break and look out your window, instead of at the monitor!

Do you have an interest in both hula and motorcycles? Then you may want to talk with Auntie Lele about joining Hula Riders - a motorcycle club devoted to both interests. For more information, visit our home page.
