This song comes from stories Manu’s mother, Keikilani “Aunty Dolly” Josiah would tell us about how her grandfather courted her grandmother, riding each day to visit her at her home in Kokoʻiki. Manu began to wonder what the HORSE was thinking about all this, and asked me to write a song expressing the horse’s point of view.
